This year marks a really special milestone for us at Little Movers  the launch of our very first Geordie’s Scholarship.

This scholarship was created to honour someone incredibly important in my life, my Dad, George “Geordie”

My Dad’s life was tragically cut short when I was a child, but his way of being in the world has stayed with me always. He had this natural belief in people. He saw potential where others might not. He encouraged people, backed them, and often gave them their very first break simply because he believed they deserved a chance.

That spirit has shaped so much of what Little Movers is today.

Creating this Free Franchise Territory in his memory feels like a continuation of that legacy  supporting someone to step into something lifechanging, just as my Dad would have done.

Our first winner: Charmaine from Ayr 🏴

I am so proud to share that our very first Geordie’s Scholarship has been awarded to Charmaine, a beautiful mum to four lovely girls.

Charmaine came to us with a clear vision  she wants to build something meaningful, not just for herself, but for her children. She wants to create a life filled with opportunity, joy, and security for her family, and she immediately stood out to us as someone with both heart and determination.

After attending her first two days of training, Charmaine shared something that really stayed with us:

“Without the scholarship I couldn’t have joined Little Movers I know how special this is, remembering Mel’s Dad.”

Hearing that meant so much. It’s moments like this that remind us exactly why this scholarship exists.

I’m delighted that Charmaine has been chosen as our very first winner.

She instantly stood out as kind, warm and caring, with a real drive to work hard for her family and create a happy life where her children have every opportunity to thrive.

I’m genuinely excited to support her on this journey and to see everything she will achieve as she grows her Little Movers business.

This is just the beginning of the Geordie’s Scholarship story  and I know my Dad would be incredibly proud to see his legacy continuing in this way.

Looking ahead

This scholarship is about more than business. It’s about belief, opportunity, and giving someone a chance to change their future.

We can’t wait to see Charmaine flourish  and we’re so excited to continue opening doors for more incredible people in the years ahead.
