Celebrating 6 Years of Success at Little Movers South Tyneside

We’re celebrating a truly special milestone  Sam’s 6th Business Birthday at Little Movers South Tyneside!

Sam’s journey with Little Movers began back in 2017, when she bought her first franchise in Washington & Sunderland North. At the time, she was a dedicated teacher who loved working with children, but like many parents, she longed for more flexibility  to be there for school runs, sports days, and the precious moments that matter most.

Since taking that leap, Sam has built an award-winning, financially successful business that brings fun, learning, and movement to thousands of children and families every week. As a sole parent, she’s created a life filled with stability, independence, and joy  buying her own home, taking her children on holidays, and enjoying every school holiday off work.

Every week, hundreds of families attend Little Movers classes across South Tyneside, where Sam and her team create a magical environment for children to move, play, and grow. Through her partnership with The School Sports Partnership, Sam and her team are the go-to providers of PE for Early Years, delivering engaging, active sessions to thousands of children across the region. They also bring movement and joy into nursing homes, creating beautiful intergenerational moments that light up communities.

Sam’s success has been recognised both locally and nationally. She has received in-house team awards and national business awards, and is highly respected within the children’s activities sector. Many other providers look to Sam’s business as the standard of excellence — inspired by her professionalism, consistency, and community spirit.

But her success goes far beyond business metrics. Sam’s story is one of courage, self-belief, and transformation.

If Sam had stayed in teaching, her life might still be defined by long hours, late nights of marking, and the heartbreak of missing school runs and special family moments. Life would have been dictated by timetables and term dates — not by choice or joy. Instead, Sam made the brave decision to change her path, to take control of her future, and to build something that worked for her family. That decision didn’t just change her career — it changed her life.

Sam’s journey is proof that with passion, purpose, and determination, it’s possible to build a life filled with freedom, fulfilment, and success  one that truly makes a difference to others.

If you’ve ever dreamed of doing the same, perhaps it’s time to take your first step.
